Health & Safety in the studio is very important. To stop any accidents from happening to yourself and anyone else around you. You must -
- Make sure there are no loose cables, using hazard tape or duct tape secure all loose cables to stop them from becoming a tripping hazard.
- When setting up the studio lights take sure that all tripod stands have the single leg in line with the light fitting and the other 2 legs at the back, this stops the stands tipping.
- Also make sure to there is enough room for you and everyone else around you to move around in the studio making sure that all light stands are positioned correctly for the finished effect.
- When changing things like a soft box to a shoot, you need to be careful as they can turn very hot and can burn.
- If you move to a different place always put the protective cover back onto the light, this stops damage to the bulbs and burns.
- Never leave the studio unattended with no one in it
